The Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Training Lead provides strategic leadership for the design, development, and implementation of a statewide simulation based training platform that expands access to high quality education, workforce development, and career pathways across New Hampshire’s rural communities. In collaboration with the Simulation Lead and under the direction of the ED Enterprise Integration and Operations is responsible for building a coordinated, accessible, and sustainable distance-based training infrastructure that integrates content generated by the Simulation Core and aligns with the priorities of the Leadership, Clinical, and Scholars cores (e.g., clinical partners, priority healthcare roles, microcredentials, etc.).
This role ensures that, in partnership with the Simulation Lead, the simulation workforce development efforts are sustainable and scalable. The Training Lead is expected to implement a training platform and strategy, assist faculty with the development and deployment of educational assets, and direct the instructional design team, develop and coordinate ongoing training workshops including asynchronous/synchronous and in-person.
- Statewide Simulation Distance-based Training Platform & Infrastructure (40%) Design, implement, and evolve a statewide simulation‑based training platform serving rural and underserved communities. Deploy assets developed in the SIM core to ensure standardized distance-based training, education standards and accessibility requirements are met. Support the development of a cohesive, statewide approach to simulation‑based workforce development. In collaboration with the Executive Director, Enterprise Integration and Operations, design and implement a multi‑year sustainability plan, which include fee‑for‑service models and other long‑term funding strategies.
Contribute to long‑term strategic planning and growth of the RHT simulation and training ecosystem, in alignment with broader Rural Health Transformation goals. - Program Development, Partnerships & Workforce Alignment (30%) Under the direction of the Executive Director, Enterprise Integration and Operations, and in collaboration with the Executive Director, Rural Health Education, cultivate and sustain partnerships with the key education stakeholders across provider sites, academic institutions, and other relevant partners for the purpose of:
Identify, recruit, and coordinate subject matter experts, faculty, and simulation instructors across disciplines, who will contribute training content. Direct instructional design staff in the design and implementation of the development and centralization of shared training resources, tools, and instructional materials. - Training Coordination (20%) Coach and support staff and team members contributing to training initiatives. Supervise core staff as requested. Coordinate logistics to ensure timely, high‑quality execution of training activities. Ensure consistency between day‑to‑day operations and broader strategic objectives.
- Evaluation and Continuous Improvement (10%) Contribute to quarterly and annual reporting and evaluation activities in collaboration with administrative and evaluation partners. Use data to support continuous improvement, decision‑making, and training system refinement. Ongoing assessment and evaluation to ensure platform aligns with cross core priorities such as rural workforce and clinical domains, including but not limited to behavioral health, maternal health, substance use disorder services, and emergency response.
Acceptable Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Healthcare Education, Public Health, Health Professions Education, Healthcare Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in workforce development, training program management, instructional design, healthcare education, simulation education, or a related field.
