This is a full time, school year contracted substitute teacher position at the High School.

Position Title: Substitute Teacher - Contracted District
Terms of Employment: School Year
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required
- Ability to work well with children and adults
- Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
- Para 2 certificate preferred but not required
- Bachelors degree preferred but not required
Reports to: Building Administrator
Evaluation: Performed annually
Job Goal: To enable each child to pursue his/her education as smoothly and effectively as possible in the absence of his/her regular teacher.
Performance Responsibilities:
Communication- Review all plans and schedules to be followed during the teaching day, when necessary with the Building Administrator
- Communicate to the classroom teacher regarding the day
- Keep students informed of schedules and expectations
- Consult with the Building Administrator before initiating any teaching or other procedures not specified in the Substitute Teacher's Guide
- Report to the Building Administrator 15 minutes before the official opening of school
- Work cooperatively and effectively with teachers, teacher assistants, nursing and other work personnel and parents
- Arrive to work as scheduled, demonstrating punctuality, dependability, and personal hygiene
- Comply with personnel policies, student rights, and Fall Mountain School District policies and procedures
- Function independently, demonstrate flexibility and personal integrity
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Building Administrator.
- Maintain as closely as possible, the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which he/she has been assigned.
- Follow all policies, rules, and procedures to which teachers are subject and are dictated by good teaching practices
- Follow and implement lesson plans as provided by the classroom teacher
- Carry out extra duties of the classroom teacher such as recess, lunch and bus duties
- Demonstrate genuine concern for the students
- Set high expectations for student behavior and learning
- Be engaged in activities of classroom and monitor students at all times
