Overview

SENIOR PROJECT GEOLOGIST — Industry leading environmental and engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Project Geologist to join its Environmental Engineering group in New Hampshire. This role is ideal for a technically strong geologist who enjoys leading field programs, mentoring staff, and supporting complex environmental investigation and remediation projects from planning through execution. You’ll work closely with project managers, regulators, subcontractors, and internal teams on challenging sites across the region.

Responsibilities
  • Lead field programs, mentor staff, and support complex environmental investigation and remediation projects from planning through execution.
  • Work closely with project managers, regulators, subcontractors, and internal teams on challenging sites across the region.
  • Lead and support environmental investigation and remediation projects; plan and execute soil, groundwater, and bedrock investigations.
  • Oversee drilling, sampling, decontamination, and subcontractor activities.
  • Review and prepare technical reports, cost estimates, schedules, and design documents.
  • Support project managers with budgets, schedules, and cost documentation.
  • Coordinate with vendors, regulators, and project stakeholders.
  • Utilize tools such as GIS, hydrogeologic modeling software, and boring log software.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field (MS strongly preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental investigation and remediation (10+ preferred).
  • Strong background in hydrogeology, bedrock investigations, and contaminant fate & transport.
  • Experience leading field teams and overseeing contractors.
  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER with current refresher.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations (state and federal).
  • Professional Geologist (PG) license strongly preferred.
  • Experience with GIS, Rock Works, and hydrogeologic software.
