Responsibilities
  • Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex equipment failures on sputtering and other high-vacuum systems.

  • Perform additional duties and projects as required to support business needs.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on equipment engineering or maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (thin film, semiconductor, vacuum systems, or similar highly preferred).
  • Strong hands-on experience with high-vacuum systems required; experience with sputtering or other PVD equipment strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of vacuum systems, leak detection, pumps, and deposition equipment operation.
  • Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Demonstrated success in high-uptime, production-critical environments where rapid response is required.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills, with a focus on long-term solutions.
  • High level of mechanical aptitude and proficiency with tools, instrumentation, and diagnostic equipment.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands.
  • Effective written communication and documentation skills.
  • Willingness and availability to work evenings and/or weekends as business needs require.
What Success Looks Like
