Are you a hands‑on Electrical Engineer who enjoys solving complex automation challenges while leading technical projects and supporting manufacturing operations?
We are seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to serve as a technical leader within a high‑volume manufacturing environment. This role combines automation engineering, controls programming, equipment reliability, and team leadership, making it ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys both strategic project work and hands‑on troubleshooting.
What You'll Do- Lead automation, instrumentation, and controls projects focused on quality, productivity, reliability, and cost reduction
- Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC and HMI systems, including:
Rockwell RSLogix / Studio 5000, PLC-5 and Safety PLCs, VFDs, Servo Drives, and Motion Control Systems - Design and support plant‑wide control system architecture
- Select and integrate controls components including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and safety systems
- Troubleshoot production equipment, electrical systems, instrumentation, and manufacturing processes
- Support equipment upgrades, automation improvements, and capital projects
- Maintain electrical documentation, wiring diagrams, and schematics using AutoCAD
- Ensure PLC programs and control systems are properly documented and backed up
- Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to maximize equipment performance
- Support electrical safety, EH&S initiatives, and Lean Manufacturing programs
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of electrical engineering or industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with HMIs, Servo and VFD Systems, Instrumentation & Controls, Power Distribution Systems
- Knowledge of OSHA, NEC, NFPA, ANSI, and UL standards
- Experience troubleshooting complex manufacturing equipment
- AutoCAD experience preferred
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
- Hands‑on technical leadership role
