What You Will Do- Supportthemanufacturing operations for a large value stream within a product line platform. This positionisresponsiblefor supporting all aspects of manufacturing execution, including execution to an MRP schedule, achieving positive variance to Hybrid Propulsion Unit (HPU) performance, and managing work-in-process to avoid aging WIP.
- Interface with the Consolidated Manufacturing Center and the Value Stream Leaders and Operations.
The Value Stream Associate will make strategic decisions for the direction of the value stream related to manufacturing plans, including production planning and Cost Reduction Initiatives, and provide a recovery plan. - Have acomprehensiveunderstandingofall aspects of theproductionorganizationconcernedwith the assembly and processing operations, including athoroughknowledgeofmanufacturing-related policies/procedures and qualityandcustomerrequirements.
- Drive detailed actions, collaborating with the customer sites to recover delivery schedules for the programs
- Lead project execution for scheduled recovery efforts.
- Support program projects such as reliability, in-service issues, and producibility.
- Provide a detailed line of balance (LOB) with robust actions on various production hardware.
- Interface with both internal andexternalcustomers’ locations, including
Program Management Reviews (PMRs),and do follow-ups with the supply chain and value stream leaders. - Work with Value Stream Leads (VSL) to understand the customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of service.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of prior relevant experience in operations, manufacturing, and/or engineering or equivalent experience
- Strong communication skills
- ERP/Epicor experience
- Production Control concepts, including WIP management, LOB, and TAKT
- Experience with lean manufacturing tools and concepts
- Preferred prior aerospace/defense experience
- Preferred Certification in Program Management, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing
$30/hour - $35/hour
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work RequirementsThis role is considered an on-site position located in Durham, NH.
- You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
- Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Due to the nature of the work, no travel is required.
