Job Description & How to Apply Below
Our client is a fast-growing fabrication and industrial manufacturing company in Amherst, NH, known for innovative engineering, a strong team culture, and a compensation structure that rewards results. They're looking for an experienced EIC Engineer to lead electrical scope across technical projects — from initial design through commissioning.
If you're a hands-on engineer who thrives on ownership, enjoys programming PLCs and HMIs as much as reviewing an SLD, and wants a seat at the table on projects from day one, this is a great opportunity to grow with a company that's investing in its people.
What You'll Do- Serve as the go-to expert on electrical, instrumentation, controls, and automation systems — bringing broad, in-depth technical knowledge to every project.
- Own the electrical scope on technical projects, driving coordination and communication across all stakeholders and team members.
- Make final calls within your scope, providing clear direction to the electrical team.
- Support early-stage design, including power system objectives, scope, and overall system architecture.
- Develop and manage key electrical deliverables: instrument lists, I/O lists, loop and wiring diagrams, ETAP/SLD and power system models, physical layouts, circuit/conduit schedules, equipment specs, RFQ packages, MTOs, and contractor scopes of work.
- Design, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and control systems — including hands-on programming of PLCs, HMIs, and related automation platforms.
- Support commissioning activities in the shop and onsite, ensuring systems meet site acceptance standards.
- B.S. in Engineering (ABET-accredited program preferred).
- PE license strongly preferred, or the ability to obtain one within your first year.
- 5+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in electrical, instrumentation, and controls engineering.
- Competitive pay: $120K–$165K/year, based on experience.
- A rewards structure that ties your compensation directly to your impact.
- Real ownership — you'll be a key decision-maker on projects, not just an implementer.
- A collaborative team environment with a track record of promoting from within.
- Continued company growth means real career development, not a ceiling.
