Job Summary:

Responsible for testing, analyzing, and troubleshooting electron and ion optics systems to ensure product quality aligns with company and customer requirements in a clean environment

Duties:

Test, analyze, and troubleshoot internal products, test fixtures, and applicable systems to meet company and customer requirements.
Perform analysis, diagnostics, and preliminary evaluations of products.
Analyze customer requirements and develop appropriate testing methods and acceptance criteria.
Repair and maintain test fixtures, lab equipment, and vacuum stations as needed.
Troubleshoot test fixtures, products, and procedures.
Perform preliminary product evaluations and identify root causes of technical, manufacturing, and system-level issues.
Install test software and perform software programming.
Work closely with scientific and professional staff in the development phase in executing solutions to complex problems and integration issues.
Perform other duties and technical projects assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Working knowledge of vacuum systems and associated laboratory equipment preferred.
Strong understanding of applied physics principles relevant to electron and ion optics,
Ability to translate customer and engineering requirements into appropriate test methods, technical documentation, and practical solutions.
Ability to troubleshoot products and systems to the component level and perform effective root-cause analysis.
Ability to analyze system performance, interpret test data, identify performance trends, and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to internal stakeholders.
Proven ability to plan work, solve problems, manage priorities, and execute multiple assignments effectively.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to quality and timely deliverables.
Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, specifications schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and other functional groups.
Ability to adapt and respond effectively in a dynamic, fast-changing engineering and manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and related Microsoft 365 applications.

Minimum

Education and Experience:

General
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience.
- 3 years of related engineering, manufacturing, test, or technical work experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with electronic/electrical systems and associated test equipment.
- Experience with electron and ion optics systems, vacuum systems, or related technologies.
- Experience supporting products through development, manufacturing, testing, and customer-facing applications.
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
