Students at FPU - Raven Sports Network Assistant Producers AY

Position Summary

The Fitzwater Center is seeking 8 students to work as Assistant Producers. Assistant Producers will be hired to work with a team of camera operators for one specific sport per season. In the fall, these teams are field hockey, men's soccer, women's soccer and football.

The Assistant Producer is responsible for ensuring that Flo Sport content requirements are met. This means preparing a run‑of‑show for each game and loading any graphics by the Friday morning production meetings; attending all production meetings; taking inventory of equipment, transporting it to the press box, setting up all equipment on the Flo Sport deadline (one hour before gametime), handling audio and switching content during the game, monitoring talent, tearing down in a professional manner, taking inventory, and returning equipment to the Fitzwater Center.

• Assistant Producers will undergo training at the start of the season and are required to participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, including weekly production meetings.
• These positions are for RSN members experienced in sports media technology. All Assistant Producers are also expected to be on call for unexpected situations (sick staff, change of game time, etc.).
• Expected that Assistant Producers can drive a van or shuttle for RSN, to transport equipment and/or students/staff.
