Role:
To assist members and potential members with their Credit Union needs directly and through other Financial Service Representatives; provides expertise with respect to more complex Credit Union services such as IRAs, certificates of deposit, electronic funds transfer, home banking, and lending, explains services, sets up new accounts, responds to problems, and directs members to the appropriate people with their consumer lending needs;
processes consumer loans from start to finish.
- Welcomes members and completes transactions within a reasonable period of time, with accuracy and while equally sharing workload with other FSRs; embraces and uses the "Service Strategies" concepts. Opens accounts for new members and identifies their perceived and unperceived needs while maintaining absolute confidentiality of internal and/or external member information.
- Stays current on Products and Services by reviewing information provided and seeking answers through ongoing training; uses knowledge of Triangle's products, services, and operations to maintain and grow membership by applying sales strategies, leading to increased member loyalty through the use of both Service and Sales Strategies. Meets annual sales goals and maintains absolute confidentiality regarding member information.
- Interviews applicants to gather data for completing a loan application and works toward closing loans. Inputs a consumer loan application independently and closes a loan with supervision. Answers basic questions.
- Responds to all telephone and/or E-mail correspondences on the same day as they are received.
- Completes IRA and CD transactions; handles teller transactions as part of working with members to satisfy their needs.
- Ensures that appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Experience:
Previous Member/Customer Service or Financial Service experience required. - Previous lending experience is a plus.
- Education:
High school education or GED required; post‑secondary education desired. - Interpersonal skills:
Requires personal contact with others, conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation, with confidentiality, discretion, diplomacy, and tact. - Sales acumen.
- Strong computer skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task.
Physical Requirements- Ability to sit for long extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach.
Member facing / Fast paced / Team oriented.
