Senior Financial Analyst – Siemens Healthcare Point of Care

The Senior Financial Analyst role in Siemens Healthcare Point of Care will initiate, execute and evaluate planning, analysis and reporting activities within the business area. As part of a team, and through best‑in‑class, data‑driven analytics, this role will partner and/or lead cross‑functional teams for strategic and tactical decision making, generate financial insights short‑term and long‑term, and focus on efficient capital allocation.

The analyst will lead the finance for strategy and new business opportunities, develop financial business‑case dialogue for major R&D investments, and serve as the finance lead for strategy and new business opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Guide the analysis of financial results to determine accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Develop financial reports and reviews with management, including detailed financial analysis at complex levels: rate of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, budgeting, and performance comparisons.
  • Guide and maintain conformance to IFRS requirements and drive discussions with internal and external auditors.
  • Drive and optimize financial performance for R&D and capital investment projects, recommending actions to meet targets and implementing performance improvements.
  • Conduct financial project plans for ongoing and new R&D projects.
  • Perform ad‑hoc analysis to help the business understand return on investment.
  • Analyze product profitability and provide insights to portfolio management on life‑cycle costs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Capabilities
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Experience:

    5–10 years of progressive analytical and controlling experience with demonstrated career progression in a similar environment.
Competencies
  • Ability to distill business processes and results into actionable information for senior leadership, with strong presentation skills.
  • Proactive engagement with internal customers, facilitating communication, and supporting R&D and portfolio management teams.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and quality orientation with a pro‑active attitude and intercultural sensitivity.
  • Team player with experience leading cross‑functional teams and coordinating finance, accounting, audit and external personnel.
  • Project management knowledge and strong analytical ability.
  • Business acumen and understanding of complex organizational structures and reporting processes.
  • Strong systems skills in SAP, expert Excel and PowerPoint capabilities, including SAP BW data‑warehouse reporting.
  • Familiarity with Healthcare R&D methodology and the global point‑of‑care diagnostics industry.
  • Understanding of intangible capitalization of development projects and its impact on P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Ability to optimize and standardize process workflows, driving business improvements.
  • Peer mentorship to promote talent development within the finance team.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Capabilities
  • Experience working in an international business setting and communicating across multiple cultures.
  • Strong data analytics tool experience.
  • Experience in healthcare business, especially diagnostics, with understanding of industry dynamics.
Location and Reporting

Reports directly to the Head of Finance, Strategy & Portfolio Management. Based in Walpole, MA or hybrid U.S. location. Additional U.S. (and potential international) locations may be considered.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay: $147,760 – $203,170 (subject to geography, skills, education, experience and other qualifications). Commission eligibility per company plan.
