Town Administrator
The Town of Nottingham, NH (pop approx. 5,100), is seeking an experienced professional to serve as its next Town Administrator. Nottingham is located in the southeast portion of the state within about 30 minutes of Manchester, Concord, and the NH Seacoast. While 45 minutes from the Lakes Region, Nottingham borders Pawtuckaway Lake with its own Town Beach and is home to the Pawtuckaway State Park and its many recreational opportunities.
The UNH campus is about 10 miles away. Nottingham is rich in history and, despite modern growth, maintains a small-town atmosphere.
Working under the direction of a five-member Select Board under the SB2 form of government, the Town Administrator coordinates the delivery of a full array of town services and administers the day-to-day affairs of the Town. With a proposed FY operating budget of approximately $5.5 million, the Town has about 27 full-time employees supplemented by another 40 part-time employees.
A bachelor’s degree in public administration or related field and five (5) years of supervisory/administrative experience in a municipal setting is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates an ability to be successful in the position will be considered.
Salary range to $130,000; starting salary commensurate with qualifications. Although this position is not currently in the New Hampshire Retirement System, the Town does offer excellent benefits. Nottingham is an equal opportunity employer.
