The Newmarket, New Hampshire Police Department is actively seeking Public Safety Dispatcher candidates interested in a challenging career to fill current or anticipated vacancies.
The Communications Division provides 24-hour emergency dispatch communications for Newmarket Police, Fire and EMS, and the Newfields Police, Fire and EMS.
Duties Include, but not limited to:
- Receive emergency calls from the public and E-911. Dispatch appropriate fire, ambulance or police using computer-aided dispatch
- Maintains continuous two-way radio and/or telephone communication between Dispatch Center and officers/department personnel
- Performs criminal record, license, motor vehicle registration record through SPOTS and NCIC checks; enters stolen property, missing and wanted persons into NCIC other duties as assigned
- Monitor fire/burglar alarms and security cameras
- $30.00 - $39.00 commensurate with experience
- NEPBA Local 215 Membership
- 13 Paid Holidays
- Earned Vacation (amount commensurate with experience)
- Earned Sick Time (for self and family members)
- Permanent NIGHT SHIFT
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s license
- Must be 18 years of age
- Candidates must successfully complete a formal interview, extensive background investigation and polygraph examination.
