Join Our Patient Access Team at Cottage Hospital

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about helping patients feel welcomed and supported? Cottage Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Patient Access Registrar to provide flexible, as-needed coverage across our Patient Access Department.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, works well independently, and takes pride in creating a smooth, positive experience for patients and visitors from the very first interaction.

What You’ll Do
  • Greet and assist patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion
  • Register patients accurately in the electronic health record system
  • Verify insurance eligibility and update demographic information
  • Schedule appointments and follow-up visits as directed
  • Collect, post, and reconcile patient payments
  • Answer phones, screen calls, and provide general information
  • Manage the Welcome Desk independently while multitasking effectively
  • Support department operations by covering scheduled and unscheduled absences, including holidays
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with registration systems or electronic health records preferred
  • Willingness to provide flexible, as-needed coverage (including holidays)

Qualifications Education
Preferred

High School or better.
