The role involves counseling patients, collaborating with physicians and care teams, evaluating referral orders, documenting medical information, and managing dietary menus to ensure nutritional adequacy.
Qualifications & Skills- Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- State licensure required
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Food & Nutrition from an accredited institution
- Preferred:
Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and one year of clinical dietetics experience
- Communicate with patients and healthcare team to provide nutritional guidance
- Assess and adapt nutritional care plans and menus
- Conduct calorie counts and provide recommendations
- Document patient information per standards
