Cardigan Lodge sits at the base of Cardigan Mountain and offers a full-service experience to guests, including dynamic hiking and ski trail systems, 26 primitive campsites, and a rustic cabin half a mile from the summit.

• Provide exceptional customer service to create a positive experience for each guest and visitor.
• Respond to all guest complaints and special requests in a respectful and professional manner.
• Interact with guests by providing information on local recreation opportunities, lodge amenities, organizational efforts, and available programs.
• Participate in meal planning, preparation, cooking, and service.
• Set up, service, and clean up daily meals.
• Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, shared areas, campsites, and privies.
• Assist with lodge room and campsite reservations, check‑in and check‑out.
• Assist with retail sales in the lodge store.
• Participate in deep cleaning of lodge spaces and special projects as instructed.
• Assist with general groundwork and maintenance.
• Implement energy conservation and environmentally sound practices in daily operations.
• Maintain positive interactions with supporting businesses and colleges.
• Help create a respectful, clean, and safe communal living environment.

• 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in hospitality, food service, or outdoor recreation preferred.
• Experience in customer service and exceptional communication skills.
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast‑paced work environment.
• Attention to detail in performing a wide range of assigned tasks.
• Conflict resolution skills with a calm and respectful demeanor.
• Team‑oriented mindset and enthusiasm for communal living.
• Love of the outdoors and commitment to the Appalachian Mountain Club mission.
• Ability to operate standard office and maintenance equipment.
• Physical capability to lift and carry 50 pounds and travel safely in the backcountry in all weather conditions.

Salary: $13.39 per hour.
