Position: HR Generalist

Shift: Monday-Friday

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with a strong emphasis on payroll, benefits administration, and FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) management to join our HR Team. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing, administering comprehensive benefits programs, and supporting employees through FMLA and other leave processes. The ideal candidate with be detail-oriented, knowledgeable about payroll and benefits regulations, and dedicated to proving exceptional HR support to our employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Audit timesheets and schedule to ensure accuracy for payroll processing
  • Provide bonus details for each payroll and submit any changes needed for payroll processing.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits offerings. Coordinate enrollment, changes and terminations.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and FMLA.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of FMLA and other leave requests, including eligibility determinations, notification to employees, and coordination with managers and payroll.
  • Maintain FMLA records and ensure compliance with FMLA regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with HR team members and external vendors to enhance benefits programs and streamline processes.
  • Assist with HR compliance initiatives, including audits, reporting, and adherence to federal, state and local employment laws.
  • Support employee relations activities, including investigations, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing employee experience and operational efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education
  • Bachelor ’ s degree in Human Resources , Business Administration, or a related field, preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Human Resources role with a focus on FMLA, and benefits or equivalent combination or education and experience.
Specialized Knowledge and Experience
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist with a focus on payroll, benefits administration, and FMLA.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processing principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of Short - Term and Long-Term Disability leave.
  • Knowledge of FMLA regulations and experience managing FMLA process.
  • Experience with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and compliance.
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Requires verbal skills to prob and ask questions to ensure understanding of requirements.
  • Self‑Starter that is results, action oriented.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems
  • Interacts professionally, appropriately and courteously with co‑workers and management; treats everyone with respect and dignity.
Travel

Travel requirement up to 15%.
