Position: Assistant Director of Operations, and Director of On Campus Recruiting
Location: Durham

The Assistant Director of Football Operations / Director of On-Campus Recruiting manages the logistics of recruiting and team operations so coaches can focus on coaching rather than administrative work. Core responsibilities include coordinating official and unofficial campus visits, maintaining the recruiting database and prospect communication pipeline, and serving as the primary point of contact for prospects and high school coaches, a role especially valuable as we build out our NH high school coach relationship network.

Beyond recruiting, this position handles team travel logistics, camp registration and event coordination (Prospect Camp, Youth Camps, Jr. Days), and tracking NCAA/CAA compliance related to recruiting activity.

In short, it’s the connective tissue between recruiting strategy and its execution on the ground, ensuring every prospect visit, camp, and recruiting touchpoint runs smoothly and leaves a strong impression of the program.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Team Operations (40%)
    • Manage team travel logistics for away games (transportation, lodging, meals)
    • Support practice and meeting scheduling
    • Assist with day-to-day administrative needs of the football program
  • Recruiting Operations (40%)
    • Coordinate and execute official and unofficial campus visits (scheduling, logistics, hosting, itineraries)
    • Maintain the recruiting database and manage prospect communication workflows
    • Serve as primary point of contact for prospects and their families throughout the recruiting process
    • Support development of the NH high school coach relationship network
  • Camps & Events (20%)
    • Handle registration and logistics for Prospect Camp, Youth Camps, Recruit Jr. Days
    • Coordinate staffing and volunteer support for camp days
Requirements Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working within a college or professional football program, in operations, recruiting, administrative, or operational capacities.
Required Licenses & Certifications
  • Valid Drivers License
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Working knowledge of NCAA and conference recruiting rules and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with prospects, families, and high school coaches.
  • Proficiency with recruiting database/CRM software (e.g., Arms, Teamworks).
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure during high-volume recruiting periods.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly with compliance documentation.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as dictated by the recruiting and competitive calendar.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments (admissions, compliance, registrar).
  • Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information related to prospective student‑athletes.
Other Requirements
  • Ability to travel as needed for team travel purposes.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
  • Compliance with all University, CAA, and NCAA policies and regulations.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including irregular hours during peak recruiting and camp seasons.

Compensation Pay Range: $15 / hour
