- You will provide System Administration in a heterogeneous Redhat 8 & 9 Enterprise Linux environment.
- You will utilize virtualization and containerization technologies, including VMware vCenter, vSphere, Horizon, ESXi, KVM, Podman, Docker, and Kubernetes/Open Shift.
- Collaborate with engineers, software developers, systems administrators, storage, networking, and high‑performance computing teams to resolve complex infrastructure and integration challenges.
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure continuous compliance with regulatory and security frameworks such as DFARS, RMF, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
- Provide critical, on‑site support for mission systems in a closed DoD area, responding to both planned and emergent tasks, with occasional work outside standard hours and up to 10% travel as required.
- Obtain and maintain DoD 8140 / 8570 certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or equivalent) within six months of hire.
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to support business needs, including adjusting to shift changes.
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), including system installation, administration, patching, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
- Experience with secure system configurations, system hardening, application settings, and tailoring Linux environments.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, communication (written and oral), collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Deep experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and its ecosystem, including authentication and identity services (SSSD, LDAP, Kerberos, NIS) and file sharing/integration services (Samba, NFS).
- Expertise with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible and Red Hat Satellite, along with strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, Perl, or C to support provisioning, patching, and lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with enterprise storage systems (e.g., Net App) and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) technologies such as Horizon, Profile Unity, and NVIDIA GPU virtualization (NLS, DLS).
- Proficiency with monitoring, vulnerability scanning, and compliance assessment tools (ACAS, Splunk, Nessus, SCAP, STIG, Nagios, Solar Winds) and working knowledge of security frameworks (CMMC, NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, DoD RMF).

- Salary Range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD. This range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
