We are looking for a Full-Time Parts Specialist to help us in delivering award‑winning customer service and creating a unique and memorable experience for our customers. This position will assist the Parts Manager in ensuring the success of the Marina at our Meredith location.
Position OverviewThe Parts Specialist will report to the Parts Manager and will be responsible for accurately receiving and assigning parts and purchases to the appropriate service and customer orders.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Assist walk‑in customers, as well as phone customers with their parts and accessory needs.
- Lead day‑to‑day operations of the parts department in the absence of the Parts Manager – oversee the parts inventory, cycle count and ordering supplies as needed for Service.
- Order, return, receive, and provide parts to the service department.
- Invoice parts and purchases to the appropriate service and customer orders.
- Communicate in an efficient and timely manner with OEM suppliers both over the phone and through email.
- Recommend products and encourage sales while assisting customers.
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and work unsupervised.
- Must be available to work overtime during the busy seasons, weekends are a must.
- Other duties as needed.
- 2+ years of experience in a repair or service facility.
- Experience and certifications with manufacturers, like Mercury, Volvo, Yamaha, etc.; a plus.
- Must have working knowledge of marine parts and components.
- Must be detail oriented and possess excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills while working both independently and within a team environment.
- Eager to engage in a growing, fast‑paced, and industry‑leading company.
- Knowledge of Lightspeed software is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, required.
- Forklift Experience, a plus.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extending periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Minimum of High School degree or equivalent.
- ASE certification, preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Monday–Friday + Weekends (5 days per week)
- Monday–Friday schedule during off‑peak season
- Flexible scheduling
- Overtime available
