What will you do?

A day in the life of a Supply Planner, PRO Footwear at Timberland looks a little like this.

This role will analyze, manage, and execute purchase requisitions based on demand, forecast, and inventory plans. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Supply & Demand Planning; this role will provide operational and analytical support in supply chain processes to ensure product availability and “on time” deliveries (both vendor and customer) and follow-up on open orders in coordination with internal areas such as logistics, customs, sales and customer service contributing to improving product availability, inventory efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

Deliver an accurate demand plan to achieve brand inventory and on-time targets, measured by achieving and/or exceeding forecast accuracy targets.

Recommend and execute product purchases based upon demand inputs and other crucial supply planning criteria (current inventory levels, vendor capacity, minimums, and buy readiness). Issue purchase requisitions to Sourcing Teams.

Share relevant information regarding supply with commercial, logistics, and customer service teams on a regular basis.

Follow up on purchase orders, internal requests and alert about potential delays

Analyze and provide input regarding supply demand match to identify issues and opportunities. Partner with sales, merchandising and global production to implement strategies to anticipate/mitigate opportunities and risks

Drive the expedite process as necessary with Global Supply Planning. Adjust supply timing as needed to improve service to customers and / or meet inventory objectives

Creation and maintenance of the databases to follow up on the seasonal performance, product launches, collaborations etc.

Support in managing inventory transfers between warehouses or channels.

Maintain updated reports on demand, supply and future buys.

Prepare summaries for weekly meetings.

Responsible for maintaining system integrity (demand and supply data)
Provide analysis and follow through for business improvements related to, but not limited to, shipping, inventory, SCO efficiency, systems, and process.

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 5 years of experience and professional achievements.

You should be very comfortable with interpreting large sets of data from a variety of sources and translating into a factual-based plan.

You should have strong organizational and communication skills.

You should be passionate about the business and be result driven.

You should be proficient in the Microsoft suite of products, with the highest priority on excel and formula writing.

You should have a strong ability to problem solve in a team environment.

This role works on a hybrid model and requires working 3 days a week at the Stratham, New Hampshire office.

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

Hiring Range:$72,000.00 USD - $90,000.00 USD annually
