Job Overview
The Field Merchandiser Floater works independently to showcase organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and act as the face of Hallmark. The role involves collaborating with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory, and support seasonal resets and installations.
Salary and Schedule- Starting hourly pay rate: $17.00–$19.00, depending on skills and experience.
- Paid training provided via live instruction and virtual classroom.
- Part‑time employees offered voluntary benefits including medical, dental, vision, etc.
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- Part‑time variable schedule; average hours 6–15 per week.
- Availability required before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
- Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
- Day‑to‑day engagement: restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products; use a mobile device for reporting, time tracking, feedback, and surveys.
- Holiday support: additional days and extended hours during holidays; may need to work on holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, etc.
- Department resets: participate in installations, fixture building, relocation, and resets; notified two weeks in advance with possibility of evenings or weekends.
- Team support: assist other merchandisers as needed in territories.
This is a physically demanding job requiring consistent lifting of up to 30 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs occasionally. It requires kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, climbing stairs, and ladder use. Must work on the selling floor and back stockrooms.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Read, write, and understand English.
- Capacity to lift and carry products up to 30 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
- Operate a digital handheld device for documents and information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi network and internet.
- Reliable transportation for travel to assigned stores as scheduled.
