of Sales and Marketing (DOSM) Role
The Director of Sales and Marketing (DOSM) is a proactive, selling leadership role responsible for driving revenue and overseeing the sales team's workflow. You will manage brand relationships, identify new market opportunities, and set strategic rate structures to maximize property value. This position blends hands‑on prospecting with high‑level marketing vision, requiring you to manage digital content, social media, and media plans.
As a key leader, you will mentor sales staff, collaborate with the food and beverage team for events, and ensure all revenue generators remain profitable while upholding the company’s core values of trust and accountability.
Pay starting at $75,000 per year plus bonus.

- Assists with the development of the hotel’s marketing and sales plan based on the hotel’s position and strengths within each market segment.
- Represents the hotel at various community, industry, and civic functions and maintain/cultivate these relationships.
- Leads, trains, and mentors staff including hiring, coaching, development, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Analyzes and understands the competition’s strengths and weaknesses for each market segment and successfully directs marketing activities against each.
- Identifies and maintains constant communications with the hotel’s key accounts.
- Actively sells room nights through outside sales calls, tours, etc.
- Performs as the driver of all revenue and ensures quarterly and annual revenue goals are achieved for the hotel.
- Develops sales action plans, and forecasts and evaluates trends to modify strategies that will enhance revenues effectively.
- Ensures that hotel credit procedures and audit guidelines are followed.
- Leadership – ability to effectively motivate, mentor, coach & counsel others to perform well (including appropriate documentation).
- Customer Service – deliver hospitable service that is attentive, friendly, efficient and courteous; demonstrate patience, tact and diplomacy.
- People Skills – ability to collaborate, create rapport, and work effectively with others.
- Communication Skills – ability to effectively listen and communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
