Overview
Our General Manager is responsible for the management of the ongoing day-to-day store operations, direct supervision of staff, maximizing store profits, and ensuring a high level of customer service and store appearance, in alignment with Company policies and procedures.

Your Role, Your Impact- Maximize store profitability through managing controllable expenses, optimizing revenue streams, and leading a high-performing team.
- Ensure guest and associate satisfaction, exceed brand standards, and manage store profitability.
- Select, develop, and effectively lead a highly engaged team.
- Cultivate a positive shopping experience for all guests. Respond to guest complaints or inquiries, solicit feedback, and create plans to meet guest expectations.
- Staff the store to cover guest and business demands of a 24/7 operation. Proactively identify hiring needs.
- Allocate resources, delegate work, and manage time through efficient scheduling and labor optimization.
- Conduct and oversee management training to ensure proficiency and safety.
- Create and sustain an inclusive store atmosphere that values diversity and promotes a productive, engaged team environment.
- Recognize and value store associates through celebration and recognition.
- Support associate and store management development through talent management processes (performance management, development plans, career conversations, development opportunities).
- Provide leadership and direction, monitor individual performance, offer coaching and development opportunities, complete performance appraisals, take corrective action when needed, and participate in hiring decisions.
- Ensure store conditions meet or exceed standards for safety, service, and operational efficiency by analyzing opportunities and executing policies and programs.
- Adhere to work designs and implement improvement actions; manage safety programs with proper execution and compliance.
- Document guest and associate incidences promptly; ensure compliance with federal and local laws and company policies.
- Lead change initiatives, champion programs, and educate associates on the reasons for change; ensure programs are executed as designed and sustained.
- Meet or exceed key performance metric targets; deliver budgeted gross profit by executing the merchandise plan.
- Maintain awareness of store-level and organizational financial performance trends to support profitability.
- Monitor cash handling and inventory; assist in investigations of shortages/overages with Assets Protection and Human Resources.
- Manage financial plans by reviewing financial reports and taking action to achieve goals; ensure execution of all plans.
- Analyze income statements and inventories to maximize sales, control costs, reduce waste, and recognize trends; manage cash procedures including deposits and change orders.
- Conduct competition surveys, analyze audit results, and address issues as needed.
- Build relationships with community partners to connect the store with its community.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be available to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Leadership experience in a fast-paced retail, food service, or fuel environment is preferred.
- Experience selecting, training, and managing staff.
- Experience with labor allocation, sales building, scheduling, and managing expenses.
- Experience coaching and developing team members through effective leadership.
- Ability to perform physical activities repeatedly, including standing, walking, handling, reaching, grasping, pushing buttons, bending, crouching, kneeling, squatting, and stooping.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Pay range: $45,000.00 – $81,972.00
