Retail & Store Manager
Location: Lincoln
Position Summary
Leads and develops teams effectively by providing education and training, actively listening to associates during store tours, and delivering constructive feedback. Collaborates with all store levels to communicate business initiatives, merchandising plans, and operational goals, and leads change efforts to implement business solutions. Demonstrates exceptional customer service by modeling Walmart’s One Best Way service model, managing customer service initiatives, and ensuring customer needs are met and resolved efficiently.
Responsibilities- Drive financial performance by reviewing and analyzing profit‑loss statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
- Ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
- Develop and implement action plans to reduce shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
- Supervise, hire, train, mentor, and develop hourly associates; assign duties, set expectations, and provide recognition.
- Coordinate job‑related activities and assignments, building relationships with key stakeholders to meet customer and business needs.
- Promote a culture of belonging, inclusiveness, and continuous learning.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and Walmart’s values of integrity and ethics.
- 2 years of college education, or 1 year of retail experience with 1 year of supervisory experience, or 2 years of general work experience with 1 year of supervisory experience.
- For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
- For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state‑specific requirements, a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility.
- Completion of all required job trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy training, Open Door training).
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership or related degree.
- Experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

$65,000.00 - $ per year, with potential annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional pay may include regional pay zone differential, complex structure differential, and state pay differential where applicable.
