Lead the sales team at one of the Lakes Region's most respected landscape companies and help take a growing business to its next level.
About Belknap LandscapeBelknap Landscape is the name behind some of the most beautiful properties in New Hampshire's Lakes Region. Since 1988 we have designed and built showcase outdoor spaces along the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee and throughout the region: sweeping patios and walls, custom outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, pools and water features, and full lakefront transformations for clients who expect the very best. Our projects regularly run from $25,000 to well over a million dollars, and the craftsmanship behind them has made us the premier landscape company in the area for more than 35 years.
Behind that work is a company that people are proud to build a career at. Belknap is family-led, growing quickly, and genuinely invested in its team, so much so that it earned a President's Award for Business Excellence for how it develops, supports, and keeps its people. It is a place where employees stay for decades, where great work gets recognized, and where year-round service lines mean steady, rewarding work in every season.
Show up ready to contribute, and you become part of something that feels like family.
Belknap's project sales team is thriving, and the company is investing in a dedicated Sales Manager to lead it forward. This is a chance to take on an already talented, established team and help it reach an even higher level, with the full backing of a company that is growing and wants to grow well.
You will lead a group of about eight today, with room to grow to ten or fifteen: sales professionals, along with design and permitting specialists. Reporting to the Director of Project Services, you will be a true player-coach who leads and grows the team while carrying a select book of strategic accounts of your own so you stay close to the work you lead
Belknap is looking for a leader who brings structure and fresh ideas, delivered in a way that lifts people up. The team is talented, tenured, and passionate, so the right person leads the way Belknap's best leaders do, by example, informing, involving, and equipping people, showing them how rather than just telling them, and earning trust by getting in it alongside them.
If you are confident and humble in equal measure and want to help a respected company grow, this is a rare seat worth wanting.
- Lead and develop the team. Coach and grow a group of about eight, from sales professionals to materials and plant procurement, design, and permitting, with room to lead ten to fifteen as it grows. Run one-on-ones, ride-alongs, and site reviews, and set clear expectations that bring out everyone's best.
- Support the sales effort every day. Review and approve estimates, help on pricing and proposals, and be the dedicated resource your sellers can count on to win the work and hit their goals.
- Own the team's numbers. Oversee a team book of business of approximately ($ 10 million) and keep the pipeline, conversion, and follow-up visible so the team always knows where it stands.
- Bring structure and better systems. Build the dashboards, pipeline discipline, and follow-up rhythm that help a growing team perform. Spend your first 60 to 90 days learning how each seller works, then bring forward the improvements that set up a strong next season.
- Carry a select personal book. Take on a small book of strategic accounts of your own, so you lead from inside the work and by example.
- Guide the bigger, more complex deals. Lend your judgment on the larger opportunities from estimate through close.
- Keep sales and operations connected. Partner with design, procurement, and production so sold work is…
