Georgia-Pacific's Building Products Division is recruiting a Shipping Manager to lead people, performance, and warehouse operations at our gypsum wallboard facility in Newington, NH, and our off-site warehouse in Portsmouth, NH. In this role, you will set direction, develop employees, and drive safe, reliable service through the application of Principle Based Management. You will partner across functions and influence employees, leaders, contractors, and customers to resolve labor, logistics, and service challenges.

The Newington Gypsum facility employs approximately 130 individuals who support Georgia-Pacific's position as one of the nation's leading gypsum board manufacturers. What You Will Do- Set a clear direction for the shipping team, translate plant goals into work priorities, and model the behaviors that advance our Principle Based Management culture.
- Lead, coach, and develop employees through clear expectations, timely feedback, accountability, and opportunities to build capability and ownership.
- Lead change and continuous-improvement initiatives in partnership with plant leadership, using performance measures to implement value-adding practices.
- Create an environment in which the team works toward zero significant environmental, health, and safety events.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and maintain effective inventory control, shipping, and receiving processes and records.
- Oversee shipments and warehouse operations to ensure products are loaded safely and meet customer quality expectations.
- Build alignment and influence decisions through effective communication with the facility team, plant leadership, contractors, customers, and corporate partners.
- Demonstrated people leadership and experience driving team or operational results, supported by one of the following: at least two years of leadership experience in an industrial, logistics, or military environment; four years of experience in the gypsum industry; or an associate degree or higher with experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, developing, and holding employees accountable for results.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Prior experience in shipping, supply chain management, or warehouse operations.
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Knowledge of mobile equipment and procurement processes and procedures.
