Aluminum Extrusion Operator

Momentum Manufacturing is looking for an experienced Press Operator/Production assistant for second and third shifts, with occasional overtime as needed.

The Extrusion Operator is responsible for working on the line in a multi‑press operation to ensure production targets are met. Operation of the extrusion press at the best possible speed while maintaining a good quality extrusion. Handles the movement of material to and from the saw area, along with monitoring and checking the quality of extrusion according to ISO standards.

• Follow company policies, procedures, and directives regarding safety and standards of workplace behavior while completing job duties as assigned.
• Operate cranes and forklifts to move raw material and tooling when needed.
• Inform the production leader of any maintenance or safety issues.
• Manage dies; ensure all necessary tooling is available at the beginning and throughout the shift.
• Check finish dimensions on extrusions at the required frequency.
• Monitor press speeds and temperatures, while maintaining a good quality extrusion.
• Ensure proper billets/logs are in the ovens and monitor the supply to keep the press running.
• Be able to perform duties and responsibilities across all extrusion presses as needed.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a production environment.
• Must be able to read and understand shop orders and prints.
• Must be reliable with a good work ethic and attitude.
• Must have mechanical aptitude.
• Willing to consider candidates new to manufacturing with a steady work history.
