Hours1st shift, Monday–Friday. Overtime may be available during the busy season (typically April–July).
Responsibilities- Follow and comply with all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain individual work area and equipment in a neat, orderly manner.
- Obtain and maintain proper training for powered industrial trucks; maintain daily logs.
- Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to supervisor.
- Use material handling equipment such as hand and powered pallet movers, forklift trucks, and some powered packing equipment such as banders and stretch wrap machines.
- Use WMS system to keep inventory accurate.
- Locate, pick, move and store material and equipment according to established procedures, both written and verbal.
- Maintain proper documentation and records using various paper forms, computer systems, or RF scan guns.
- Count items and audit pallets for inventory accuracy.
- Label individual cases as per labeling instructions.
- Build pallets per customer specifications.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- 2–5 years of warehouse experience.
- 2–5 years of experience operating a forklift.
- 2–5 years of experience operating a power jack.
- 2–5 years of experience operating a riding jack.
- Experience using a scanning gun.
- Experience loading and unloading 53‑foot trailers and box trucks.
- Experience and understanding of BIN transfers.
- Inventory control experience.
- Good problem‑solving skills.
- Basic math skills (add, multiply, divide).
- Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to cross‑train in other departments.
The employee is regularly required to walk, handle, reach, talk, hear, and smell. The employee may kneel, crouch, sit, climb, or balance. The employee may lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds with assistance. Employees need to stand for 8–10 hours and perform repetitive lifting motions. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, aromas, and airborne particles. Noise level is usually moderate.
