- Operates a forklift to move products and pallets throughout the warehouse to designated areas, maintaining safety at all times.
- Communicates discrepancies, product issues, or safety concerns to the Supervisor.
- Moves and scans products using a radio frequency scanner to ensure correct location and accurate labels.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area, free of debris.
- Anticipates business needs, keeping like products together and accessible.
- Completes Novo forklift training and operates a forklift following all safety requirements established within Novo.
- May place stand-up items into designated areas by hand as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
- Effectively perform all essential functions, including physical requirements.
- Ability to move awkward product lengths and weight.
- Experience operating a forklift with a rate rating of 6,500 pounds.
- Use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and company-approved tools while remaining aware of hazards and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Basic math, interpersonal/team, and reasoning skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Flexibility in scheduling – able to work overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pior experience in distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating a forklift primarily with product weights of 2,500 lbs. or more.
- Pior experience lifting wide loads as long as 18 feet.
- Minimum one year of experience operating a forklift.
- High School Diploma or GED.
