Our products include DC/DC converters, AC/DC inverters, solid state power distribution, generator control, VPX, and rugged battery backup solutions. We offer a unique lineup of power management solutions, offering software defined power control, as well as a rugged line of USB hubs, ethernet switches, routers, and other network solutions.
We have a global footprint, with locations in the US, Israel, Switzerland, and India. We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team! This employee will perform inspection of units/components to ensure proper operation of each finished product.
- Perform inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies or finished company products according to established AQL’s and defined criteria using standards, physical, mechanical and/ or electrical criteria.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and parts lists.
- Perform detailed inspections of fine and precise work, requiring close attention to detail and the ability to visually inspect components, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Familiarity with industry standards: J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620.
- Conduct and document process and system audits using written procedures as audit standards.
- Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing.
- Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in the construction and/or revision of SOPs for the inspection function.
- Assist in the writing and updating of inspection procedures, protocol and checklists.
- Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for corrective action to supervisor.
- Participates in team meetings to ensure continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build positive work relationships.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Good math skills are required.
- Required to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, vision screen, and background check.
- 2+ years Quality Control experience in Production and/or Receiving Inspection is preferred
- Must have good English written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity or certifications to IPC standards (A-610 and / or J-STD-001) is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude desired
- Familiar with basic mechanical inspection hand tools.
- Ability to read assembly drawings / blueprints with a working knowledge of basic measurement instruments
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to perform detailed visual inspections of components.
- This position requires close attention to detail, and the inspection of fine detailed work, therefore it’s necessary to have good or corrected vision.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, and reach as required during the workday.
- Work is performed primarily on a manufacturing floor.
- Some personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, such as safety glasses, gloves, or hearing protection.
- Position is 1st shift, Monday-Friday.
