Location: Canaan

TSG - The Sheridan Group seeks an Ink Jet Technician to support high-impact communications and advocacy campaigns. In this hands-on role, you will operate, calibrate, and maintain production inkjet equipment to deliver precise, high-quality output for client projects. Working in a collaborative, boutique environment, you'll manage print setups, monitor quality, troubleshoot mechanical and image issues, and perform routine maintenance. You'll partner closely with account and production teams to meet strict deadlines, uphold brand standards, and continuously improve digital print workflows and color performance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain inkjet printing equipment for client campaigns and technical materials
  • Set up print jobs based on digital files, proofs, and campaign specifications
  • Troubleshoot print quality, alignment, color, and throughput issues on inkjet systems
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor mechanical repairs on inkjet presses
  • Collaborate with account and production teams to meet deadlines and quality standards
  • Monitor output for accuracy, consistency, and brand standards; adjust settings as needed
  • Maintain inventory of inks, print heads, and consumables; coordinate with vendors as required
  • Document production runs, maintenance activities, and equipment performance data
  • Support continuous improvement of print workflows, color profiles, and file-prep standards
  • Adhere to safety, equipment handling, and data-security protocols in a fast-paced environment
