Role DescriptionThe Maintenance Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based at Goodwell Foods’ production facility in Pittsfield, NH. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment, building systems, and supporting utilities to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operations. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, executing preventive maintenance schedules, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and completing repairs or coordinating service as needed.
The Maintenance Specialist will respond to equipment breakdowns, document maintenance activities, and collaborate with production and quality teams to support continuous improvement and compliance with safety and food manufacturing standards. This role may involve working varying shifts, occasional overtime, and adherence to all facility safety protocols.
- Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Experience with Preventive Maintenance practices, including scheduled inspections and routine servicing.
- Proficiency in Maintenance and Troubleshooting, including diagnosing and resolving mechanical and basic electrical issues.
- Knowledge of food or beverage manufacturing environments and related safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Comfort working in a production facility, including standing for extended periods and safely handling tools and equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in maintenance, mechanics, or a related field is beneficial.
- Willingness to work assigned shifts, respond to urgent maintenance needs, and follow all safety and PPE requirements.
