CNC OPERATOR (USA)

Schedule: Monday to Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Location:Groveton, NH

Report to:Production Foreman

The CNC operators are responsible for monitoring and operating our CNC (computer numerically controlled) lathe machine to cut metal used in the manufacturing of Rotobec products.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for monitoring and operating CNC (computer numerically controlled) machine.
  • Load materials into the CNC machine.
  • Calculate the amount of material to be fed into the machine and adjust the operating speed based on vibrations and sounds that may indicate malfunction
  • Read, follow, and understand blueprints
  • Inspect the fabricated part to make sure that it matches specifications from blueprint
  • Understands and performs set-up of each unit correctly
  • Safely operate equipment, machinery, and overhead crane
  • Meets or exceeds production targets as directed by Production Foreman
  • Keep area, machines, tools and equipment clean, organized and clear of debris
  • Adhere to company safety policies, procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Participate and successfully complete all required safety training
  • Willing to cross-train as needed
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the Production Foreman
Job Requirements
  • Technical degree in a related field or 1 year or more comparable manufacturing experience deemed valid by the employer
  • Ability to perform quality work in compliance with the required standards as demonstrated in previous employment/experience
  • Applicant must have excellent operator skills
  • Must have excellent knowledge of all measuring devices
  • Understand and identify parts from blueprints/CAD drawings
  • Knowledge of lathe and milling machines
  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to communicate well with others and have good organizational skills.
