Material Sorter

Marathon Staffing is hiring Material Sorters to support waste management and recycling operations. In this role, you will inspect, sort, and separate recyclable and non-recyclable materials on a conveyor line, removing contaminants to ensure quality standards. You will load and unload materials, follow safety and cleanliness guidelines, and use basic tools or equipment as needed. The position requires standing for long periods, repetitive motion, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

You'll work closely with team members and supervisors, follow production targets, and help maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work area.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and sort recyclable and non-recyclable materials on a conveyor line
• Remove contaminants to maintain material quality standards
• Load and unload materials and bins as needed
• Follow safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Meet daily production and quality targets
• Communicate with team members and supervisors about workflow or issues
• Perform basic equipment and work area checks and report problems
• Follow written and verbal instructions from leads or supervisors
