Imagine starting your second-shift day by reviewing a complex print, planning your setup, and dialing in the fixturing that makes everything click. That’s the rhythm in our Newington, NH shop. As a Machining Process & Setup Technician (CNC), you’ll report to the Machine Shop Supervisor, work fully onsite, and contribute on 2nd shift only. We’re considering all levels—your placement will be based on your interview, your skills, and the plant’s needs.

Your mission
Turn specifications into reality through smart setups, precise execution, and relentless attention to quality.
How you’ll contribute
Operate a range of metal-removal and metal-forming machines to produce accurate components.
Choose the right gauges and hand tools; verify critical features as you go.
Read and act on drawings, sketches, and written or verbal instructions while ensuring alignment with PP-09-01.Hit tight tolerances per engineering requirements and documented processes.
Confidently run any equipment you’re qualified on per the department training matrix, with minimal additional training.
Determine when specialty jigs/fixtures are needed and fabricate them to support process stability.
Set up machines, components, and castings to print; setup time varies with part size and complexity.
Independently load—or coordinate loading of—your machining center to maintain throughput.
When appropriate, run multiple machines at once based on proximity, training, and qualifications.
Adjust or troubleshoot CNC programs if qualified; this is not a requirement for the role.
Sustain 5S discipline, strong housekeeping, and follow all safety and criticality procedures.
Own in-process quality to ensure tolerances are met throughout machining.
Perform with minimal or no guidance.
What you’ll need
High school diploma or recognized equivalent.
1+ year experience demonstrating proficiency as a Westinghouse – Newington Machinist B or equivalent.
Knowledge of CNC G-code fundamentals.
Proficiency with tooling, fixtures, and machine setup techniques for quality outcomes.
Consistent practice of 5S principles.
Foundational programming knowledge.
