Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse
Labor and Delivery RN needed for a Birthing Pavilion. The unit is a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum setting. We conduct approximately 1300 deliveries each year. There are 21 rooms, a 2-bed triage room, and 2 operating rooms. Staffing follows established guidelines, ensuring nurse:patient ratios of 1:1 for active labors, 1:2 for cervical ripening, 1:1 with Pitocin, 1:2 for high-risk medications, including Magnesium Sulfate and Insulin drips, and 1:3 for Antepartum and Postpartum couplets.
Nurses are expected to be knowledgeable and competent in all areas of the unit.
