Lakes Region VNA and Hospice is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) to join our team. The LNA will provide essential nursing care and support to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN). This role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient health, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Provide basic patient care, including changing bed linens, repositioning patients, and assisting with mobility.
- Observe and report any change in patients’ conditions to the supervising nurse.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training sessions.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. - Certification:
Current and valid LNA certification in NH. - Experience:
Previous experience in a home health care setting is preferred. - Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with staff.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of state and federal home health care regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be self-motivated, dedicated, detail oriented.
