Team Leader – OR/CS/PACU

Join Our Surgical Services Leadership Team as the Team Leader – OR/CS/PACU

Cottage Hospital is seeking an experienced and collaborative registered nurse to serve as team leader for surgical services, overseeing the operating room (OR), central sterile (CS), and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).

This leadership role combines hands-on clinical practice with team leadership, mentorship, staff development, patient care coordination, and quality improvement initiatives. The team leader serves as a clinical resource for staff, helps coordinate daily operations, supports patient throughput, and works closely with the director of perioperative services to ensure exceptional patient care and departmental performance.

The ideal candidate will possess strong perioperative nursing skills, including circulating, scrub, and PACU experience, along with a passion for mentoring others and fostering a positive team environment. This individual will help guide staff using evidence-based practice standards, support orientation and education efforts, participate in performance improvement initiatives, assist with staffing and scheduling needs, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include serving as a clinical resource, coordinating patient care activities, assisting with employee onboarding and development, participating in staff interviews and evaluations, monitoring patient satisfaction, supporting quality initiatives, ensuring appropriate staffing and resources are available, and helping facilitate efficient daily operations throughout surgical services.

This position also participates in the OR call rotation and works collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nursing staff, sterile processing personnel, and hospital leadership to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.

If you are an experienced perioperative nurse looking for an opportunity to lead, mentor, and make a meaningful impact within a supportive rural healthcare environment, we encourage you to apply.
