Maine Health Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital serving the Mount Washington Valley of northern New Hampshire and western Maine. Our ICU combines the personalized care of a community hospital with the resources and support of the Maine Health system, giving nurses the opportunity to practice advanced critical care while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Our Intensive Care Unit provides 24/7 care for critically ill medical and surgical patients and features three monitored ICU beds along with 12 telemetry monitors supporting patients throughout the medical-surgical unit. As an ICU RN, you'll care for patients requiring continuous monitoring, ventilator management, and advanced critical care interventions while utilizing state-of-the-art technology and evidence-based practices.
You'll work alongside an experienced interdisciplinary team of nurses, hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and support staff who are committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Our hospitalist team is highly skilled in critical care, with intensivists and specialized Maine Health care teams available whenever additional expertise is needed, ensuring you have the support and resources to provide the highest level of care. In addition to caring for critically ill patients, you'll play an important role in supporting patients and families during challenging times by providing education, emotional support, and compassionate communication throughout their care journey.

This is a Registered Nurse 2 vacancy open to candidates with greater than 1 year of RN work experience.
For a limited time, Maine Health is offering up to $10,000 Sign-on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience!
o Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
o Current Maine Health member employees are ineligible; former Maine Health Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Summary:
The MH Registered Nurse - Acute Care role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.
MH RN II:
This level is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level includes automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I – must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Other certifications may be required specific to area of practice or in accordance with Department guidelines.
One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available).
