Join the Surgical Care Operating Room team at Memorial Hospital in beautiful North Conway, New Hampshire, as a full-time, 32-hour day shift Registered Nurse and become part of a skilled, collaborative team dedicated to providing safe, high-quality care throughout the surgical experience.

As an Operating Room RN, you'll play an essential role in caring for patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures.

you'll work closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to prepare patients for surgery, coordinate care in the operating room, maintain a safe surgical environment, and advocate for patients throughout their procedure.

This role offers the opportunity to use your clinical judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail while developing specialized perioperative nursing expertise. You'll participate in patient assessment and care planning, ensure appropriate equipment and supplies are available, support infection prevention and patient safety practices, assist with surgical workflows, and help ensure each procedure runs safely and efficiently.

Schedule details:4 x 8 hour days with an on-call requirement, which is usually about a 1 in 5 weekends or less. Also open to 3 days split between 10-11 hours as well if needed.

This is a Registered Nurse 2 vacancy open to candidates with greater than 1 year of RN work experience. For a limited time, Maine Health is offering up to $10,000 Sign-on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience!
  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current Maine Health member employees are ineligible; former Maine Health Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Summary

The MH Registered Nurse - Acute Care role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.

MH RN II:
This level is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level includes automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I – must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education:

    Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Other certifications may be required specific to area of practice or in accordance with Department guidelines.
  • Experience:

    One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available).
