Location: Durham

River Woods Durham is seeking a compassionate Licensed Nursing Assistant to support residents across our continuum of care, including assisted living, memory support, and skilled nursing. In this resident-centered role, you will provide hands-on personal care, assist with activities of daily living, take vital signs, document care, and support restorative and wellness-focused programs. You'll collaborate closely with nurses and interdisciplinary team members, build meaningful relationships with residents and families, and contribute to a respectful, mission-driven community that values professionalism, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents
  • Measure and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
  • Support residents with mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation
  • Assist with meals, hydration, and personal hygiene routines
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care in accordance with facility policies
  • Follow care plans and collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members
  • Promote resident dignity, independence, and engagement in daily activities
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and coworkers
  • Participate in training, in-services, and ongoing professional development
