Job Overview

Henniker Veterinary Hospital is a progressive, seven‑doctor, mixed‑animal practice seeking a full‑ or part‑time associate veterinarian. We offer comprehensive services ranging from preventive care, vaccinations, emergency and specialty care to dogs, cats, horses, sheep and goats. Our modern, well‑equipped office is located in a quaint New England town in central New Hampshire, just an hour from the seacoast, Boston and Maine.

The hospital employs a dedicated, highly skilled staff devoted to animal health and client education, providing an ideal setting for new veterinarians seeking mentorship and guidance.

We offer an externship experience for veterinary students, ranging from two to eight weeks depending on schedules. Students work closely with supervising Associate Veterinarians to gain experience in:

• Gathering patient histories
• Performing physical exams
• Creating treatment plans
• Diagnostic procedures
• Dental services
• Observing or assisting in surgical procedures
• Medical management of patients
• Communicating with the medical team, support staff, and clients

All veterinary students (regardless of class year) are encouraged to participate. Students in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend.
