Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Occupational Health & Safety

The Senior EHS Coordinator supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of the environmental, health, and safety program at our Southern New Hampshire based manufacturing facility. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a proactive safety culture across the organization. Reporting directly to the EH&S for the Segment, this is a lucrative and exciting opportunity for a talented, motivated and influential Safety specialist.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- With support of Plant Management and the leadership team, implement safety policies and procedures
- Conduct routine safety inspections and audits
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Track and report safety metrics (TRIR, near misses, etc.)
- Partner with other site Coordinators within the Segment on HEICO initiatives and to share best practices
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and local regulations
- Maintain required documentation, permits, and records
- Support external audits and inspections
- Conduct employee safety training (PPE, LOTO, hazard communication, etc.)
- Lead new hire safety orientation
- Promote ongoing safety awareness programs
- Support and coordinate waste disposal programs (hazardous and non-hazardous)
- Monitor air, water, and emissions compliance
- Support sustainability and environmental initiatives
- Perform job hazard analyses (JHAs)
- Identify workplace risks and implement corrective actions
- Support ergonomics and industrial hygiene efforts
- Maintain and train on emergency response plans
- Coordinate drills (fire, evacuation, spill response) to ensure preparedness
- Act as a point of contact during emergencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (preferred)
- 2–4 years in EHS, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments (Will supplement years of experience with strong and successful internship experience)
- Bilingual (Spanish) skillsets, highly desirable
- OSHA 30-hour certification
- First Aid/CPR Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead investigations and influence behavior
