Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Ultra Source is currently seeking applicants for a First Article Inspector/CMM Technician in Hollis, NH. In this position, the CMM Technician will directly support quality and on‑time shipment goals by performing variable and attribute inspection of products applying customer specification drawing requirements and Ultra Source quality procedures as the basis for determining acceptance or rejection.
Job Location:Hollis, NH is a small suburb in Southern New Hampshire, an hour north of Boston, MA and conveniently located near other major cities and access points in the New England area. Vishay Ultra Source has 27,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space and approximately 80 employees working between two shifts.
What you will be doing:- Uses a CMM (coordinate measuring machine), calipers and micrometers to confirm the dimensional requirements of product based on customer supplied drawing.
- Updates First Article report with the dimensional and other attribute data as required by the customer in accordance with AS9102 Standard.
- Ability to update programs on the CMM to perform the dimensional verification for repeat part numbers.
- Ability to read and interpret a wide variety of customer prints and specifications.
- Perform customer required testing as part of the verification for product acceptance.
- Collaborate with Quality and Engineering personnel to drive root cause and corrective action for work orders with high dimensional rejection rates.
- Experience using calibrated measuring instruments ranging from hand tools to optical measuring equipment
- Ability to read and interpret a wide variety of customer prints and specifications
- Has previous experience understanding GD&T principles
- Detail orientated in data collection and reporting of results
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within Quality Assurance
- Previous work experience within a cleanroom preferred
- Ability to write programs in VB/QVE, with proper training
- Working ability with DISCUS or NETINPECT
- Continuous interest in training and learning the specifics of the role
Pay Rate: $25‑$30+ based on experience
