We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Calibration Lab Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing calibration, maintenance, and repair activities on a wide range of measurement instruments and equipment. Your primary objective will be to ensure that all equipment meets required standards and specifications, providing accurate, reliable, and consistent measurements.
Responsibilities
- Replacing consumable components on data loggers using hand tools.
- Perform calibration of product to exact specifications.
- Operate deep well baths, temperature/humidity chambers, pressure fixtures and equipment.
- Work with various calibration media, i.e., silicone oils, compressed nitrogen, methanol.
- Continuously train on the safe and proper method of calibrating all Madge Tech products.
- Grasp the functionality of proprietary software in performing calibrations and evaluating the results.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of calibration projects.
- Maintain calibration records and documentation in compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure laboratory safety protocols are followed rigorously to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
- 1–2+ years of experience performing calibration of measurement and data logging equipment.
- Familiarity with laboratory or manufacturing environments.
- Experience with temperature, humidity, pressure, and other environmental monitoring devices.
- Experience developing and maintaining measurement uncertainty budgets.
- Experience working in an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory or with ISO/IEC 17025 quality system requirements.
- Experience evaluating measurement uncertainty and applying statistical methods to calibration processes.
- Proficiency with calibration documentation, technical reports, and quality records.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to calibration and measurement systems.
