The Cashier is responsible for interacting with customers as they enter and leave the retail store. The primary function is to provide excellent customer service. Hours vary with days, evenings (until 9pm), and a rotating weekend/holiday coverage is required.

Organizational Relationships
  • Report directly to the Store Manager.
  • Has no direct supervisory authority.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Greet customers as they enter the retail store and assist with customer service questions.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
  • Handle customer transactions utilizing the KCX cash register system.
  • Maintain accurate cash handling.
  • Price merchandise as requested by store management.
  • Stock merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
  • Process customer returns.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Frequent lifting up to 25 pounds.

Education, Training and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • Irregular work schedule.
Equipment and Tools
  • Computer, calculator, cash register‑scanner.
  • Telephone, fax, copy machine.
  • Computer software and network.
