Overview

Position Summary... What you ll do... Leverages leadership to develop teams, teach, train, and actively listen to associates. Engages in store operations, technology initiatives, merchandising, and change management. Communicates business objectives to teams, sets clear expectations, and models exceptional customer service using the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Responsible for customer service initiatives, issue resolution, and process improvement to ensure a high quality customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop teams, tour stores, provide feedback, and communicate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, business initiatives, and company direction.
  • Introduce and lead company change efforts; set clear expectations and guide implementation of business solutions; communicate objectives to teams.
  • Model exceptional customer service standards and manage customer service initiatives, including community engagement programs and ensuring customer needs and issues are resolved.
  • Develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies; provide process improvement leadership for a high quality customer experience.
  • Drive financial performance by reviewing P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses; monitor merchandise presentation and inventory flow; mitigate shrink; achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Supervise and develop hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and recognizing performance; promote a sense of belonging in the workplace.
  • Coordinate and oversee job-related activities, build relationships with stakeholders, support plans and initiatives, and measure progress toward results.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and integrity standards; promote Open Door Policy and apply company practices in daily operations.
  • Build high-performing teams, embrace differences, and foster a culture of belonging where all associates can thrive.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally; attract and retain talent; act with integrity; serve customers and members; drive continuous improvement and adherence to Walmart values.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications — Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
    • 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
    • For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training may be required.
    • For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, a current state issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
    • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
  • Preferred Qualifications — Outlined below are the optional preferred qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no preferred qualifications.
    • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
    • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 – $. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may include regional pay zone, complex structure, and state pay differentials where applicable. Benefits include health coverage (medical, vision, dental), 401(k), stock purchase, life insurance, paid time off (PTO including sick leave, parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting), short-term and long-term disability, company discounts, military leave pay, adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, and more.

Walmart Live Better U provides education benefits for associates; programs range from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees, including English Language Learning and certificates. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment.
