Essential DutiesLeadership and Management: Directly supervises the activities of 2 or more full‑time employees including Assistant Manager(s), Lead Representative(s), and Customer Service Representative(s). Recruits, hires and trains employees to ensure excellent customer service. Develops, manages, and assigns tasks to keep the store clean, stocked, organized, and well‑kept according to Company standards. Maintains a professional image among subordinates and supervisors. Schedules employees within Company guidelines to maximize customer service and store image.
Implements non‑discriminatory management practices while hiring, training, counseling, mentoring, motivating, and separating employees.
Store Relationships: Develops positive relationships with suppliers. Promotes excellent service and resolves customer complaints in a timely, professional manner. Provides regular and predictable on‑site attendance. Ensures a safe, positive public image within the neighboring community.
Training And Development: Prepares on‑going, timely performance appraisals in Workday for all employees, including 30‑, 60‑, 90‑day, 12‑month, and ongoing anniversary check‑ins. Trains employees to meet customer service, store image, and marketing standards. Provides safety training and promotes safety awareness. Mentors employees on cash awareness to reduce risk. Ensures all required training is completed promptly.
Communications: Develops methods to ensure timely communication for all employees. Holds regular on‑going communication meetings with store employees and the District Manager.
Organizing And Planning: Evaluates and develops specific action plans to meet store objectives. Organizes and maintains all store files and manuals. Supervises completion of required and requested reports. Oversees merchandise stocking, display, and pricing. Maintains required employment posters and signs in accessible locations.
Financial: Analyzes daily sales and expense information to maximize sales and net profits. Budgets and forecasts P&L lines, manages merchandise margins, and safeguards monetary transactions. Performs other financial analyses as needed. Notifies District Manager of any sales, cash, inventory, or operating discrepancies.
Job Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent plus 1–2 years of retail work experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
- Ability to supervise and train for the use of equipment, tools, and materials listed in customer‑service job descriptions.
- Ability to supervise and manage the functions listed in these job descriptions.
- Ability to use a computer and acquire necessary skills to perform reporting, inventory control, cash control, and employment‑related forms.
- A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
- Open availability.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Ability to perform essential duties and physical functions described.
- Ability to work in the conditions described below.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to sit for long periods.
- Food Server certificate (e.g., Serv Safe) and Food Safety Management certification may be required.
- Work a minimum of 50 hours per week.
- Be exposed to cold or warm temperature extremes in walk‑in coolers, freezers, or outdoors.
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead.
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 50 pounds from ground to waist.
- Grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands throughout the shift.
- Push or pull with arms up to 20 pounds.
- Reach overhead for objects.
- Bend and twist at waist.
- Communicate orally.
- Operate a cash register and/or computer keyboard.
- Stoop, kneel, squat, bend, push, and pull as necessary.
