Overview

Hannaford Supermarkets is a local market rooted in the community, with a focus on local sourcing through our Local program and sustainable seafood documentation. This role is in the Retail Operations category for the Meat/Seafood department.

• Must meet minimum age requirements.

• Lift cases weighing up to 50 lb frequently and up to 100 lb on occasion.
• Meet established volume activity standards.
• Stand or walk 100% of the time in temperatures around 45 degrees F for the majority of shifts.
• Perform repetitive grasping, twisting, reaching, bending, and hand/arm motions as products are identified, wrapped, priced and weighed.
• Handle substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging materials, and meat/seafood products.
• Use hands to feel objects and operate tools and equipment to cut and prepare meat and seafood products.

• Provide outstanding customer service. Assist customers in product selection.
• Identify, wrap, price, and weigh all meat department items per standard procedures.
• Cut, filet and display seafood; process merchandise with attention to product rotation.
• Stock the fresh, frozen, and self-service cases using proper rotation procedures.
• Replenish merchandise, prepare food products, or set up displays as assigned.
• Assist meat cutters with scraping, traying products, cubing steaks, and grinding ground meats.
• Receive meat/seafood deliveries, code, rotate, and store appropriately.
• Wash, rinse and sanitize cases, wrap stations, scaling equipment, coolers, and cutting areas; disassemble and reassemble equipment as needed.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Salary: Salary range is between $15.90 - $21.60 per hour.
